Carrie Allen has owned and operated service and retail businesses since 1977. She began helping clients buy and sell businesses in 1999.

Having raised a family in Arizona, she combines an affinity for the Southwest with an incisive knowledge of the market. With a focus on business sales and appraisals, Carrie is a Certified Business Intermediary with the International Business Brokers Association. She is also a licensed real estate professional and business broker in Arizona, holding the Business Broker Specialist designation from the Arizona Department of Real Estate.

Her professional affiliations include the International Business Brokers Association; the Institute of Business Appraisers; Arizona Business Brokers Association (where she served as the Chair of the Southern Chapter, and Founding Member and Treasurer of the State Organization); Saguaro Business Club; the Tucson Catalina Rotary Club (where she served as President); and the American Business Women's Association.

Carrie received the 2007 Business Broker of the Year Award from the Arizona Business Brokers Association, and was recognized for her accomplishments by former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano and Tucson Mayor Bob Walkup.

John Oberg
Associate Broker

John Oberg began working as a business advisor and broker in 2000 after 18 years of owning and operating his own businesses. John brings a lot of real world experience to share with his clients. Concentrating on general business brokerage, or main street businesses, his focus is not on a specific industry but rather he assists owners in selling all types of businesses. John is a member of the Southern Chapter of the Arizona Business Brokers Association (AZBBA) and is a licensed real estate broker in Arizona.  Through courses from the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) John has learned how to analyze the health and marketability of businesses.

Currently John is Associate Broker with Allen & Young Business Brokerage, a Tucson based company working with sellers and buyers of businesses in Tucson and southern Arizona.

Jeffrey D. Abbott
Director of Marketing 

Jeff Abbott began his career in commercial banking, and has since held leadership roles in marketing and operations at Whirlpool Corporation, The General Electric Company, and Brown-Forman Corporation. As an executive, Jeff’s cross-functional experiences have helped him develop strong business acumen and process orientation that helps him assist his clients in thinking through business challenges and opportunities across multiple industries.

As a marketing and operations consultant to numerous smaller business organizations, as well as President of a manufacturing company, Jeff has gained direct familiarity with the unique challenges faced by small business owners.

As Director of Marketing at Allen and Young, Jeff strives to ensure that businesses represented for sale by Allen & Young are seen by the largest number of qualified buyers possible, and that buyers are always presented timely and accurate information of the highest quality.

Jeff graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Glendale Arizona. He is Six Sigma certified and fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Larry Orenstein

Business Broker

Larry’s background is in Industrial Engineering. He began his career managing small and medium size factories. He has extensive knowledge in cost control, factory design and construction, personnel management, product design, production, as well as sales and purchasing.
 In 1959 he opened the first of many businesses, a home improvements company. In succeeding years he has owned operated and sold, to name a few, Bagels wholesale and retail multiple locations, Photography, Health food restaurant, and buying and selling estate Jewelry.
    In 2008 after almost 40 years as an entrepreneur, he decided to use his experience to help other in obtaining their goals. He understands the needs of both buyers and sellers because he has been there. In retrospect he feels he has studied for 40 plus years learning to effectively guide Buyers and Sellers to a happy conclusion.
   Larry is a member of The Arizona Business Brokers Association “AZZBA”  and  a 30 year resident of Tucson, Arizona.

Noel Cousins
Business Broker

Noel Cousins has over 40 years of experience in mining and minerals exploration.  He held senior positions and planned and managed successful exploration programs for Wyoming Mineral Corp. and St Joe American Corp.  As a consultant to the mining industry he has organized and managed exploration and mining projects in the United States and internationally for numerous junior and major companies including: Rosario Resources, Conoco, Cominco and Teck Cominco.  He has been instrumental in major mineral discoveries and is highly experienced in the acquisition, marketing and transfer of mines and prospects (including mining claims and state mineral leases in the United States).  Noel’s expertise and experience in the industry transfer to the sale or purchase of: mining, engineering and metallurgical consulting firms; suppliers of mining and minerals processing equipment; and assay laboratories as well as mines and mining companies.

Jane Coppola, Business Broker

Jane Coppola has lived in the heart of Tucson since 1979. A University of Arizona graduate, she holds a post-degree certification as a paralegal. In addition to her experience in the legal field, she has held positions in business management, contract administration, facilities planning and operations, research, marketing and event planning, and small business ownership.
